<\/span>The Challenge of Trauma and Distrust<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When Pongpong first arrived at ITGen<\/strong>, his trauma was evident. The once-friendly cat had become fearful and aggressive, hissing and swatting at anyone who approached. He refused to leave the safety of his carrier, and more concerningly, he stopped eating entirely. For several days, our team tried various foods and approaches, but Pongpong remained withdrawn and hostile. His lethargy<\/strong> and loss of appetite<\/strong> raised concerns about potential health issues beyond his psychological trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fearing he might have developed physical health problems during his ordeal, we turned to advanced veterinary diagnostics<\/strong> to ensure we weren’t overlooking medical issues. Using the ITGen Feline Infectious Peritonitis Virus Antigen Rapid Test<\/strong>, we were able to quickly rule out serious health conditions. The test results came back normal, confirming that Pongpong’s refusal to eat was rooted in psychological trauma rather than physical illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>The Breakthrough and Road to Recovery<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The turning point came when Pongpong’s original owner, despite being hospitalized, arranged for his favorite food and treats to be delivered to our facility. The familiar scents and flavors sparked something in Pongpong, and he began tentatively eating. We immediately purchased the same brands and continued offering his preferred foods.<\/p>
