Giardia is a common intestinal parasite affecting both dogs and cats, often causing persistent diarrhea and malabsorption. The SaberVet GIA Ag test delivers 98.57% diagnostic sensitivity and 99.13% specificity, validated against PCR, with a total agreement of 99.00% — making it one of the most accurate rapid tests for Giardia. Results are available in 5–10 minutes. The test kit includes test devices, swabs, buffer tubes, workstation, and package insert. Sample collection involves a simple fecal swab procedure: collect fresh feces or rectal swab, insert swab into buffer, rotate more than 10 times, and apply three drops to the test cassette.
